Dr. Jason Lim was a civil engineer, graduating from the University of Malaya in 1988. After teaching at a local engineering college for a few years, he enrolled in MBS (the Malaysia Bible Seminary) and graduated with a Master of Christian Studies in 1992. He obtained the Master of Theology from the Westminster Theological Seminary (USA) in 1994, majoring in New Testament. He then continued his further studies at the University of Sheffield and completed his doctoral studies (Ph.D. in NT) in 1998. Dr. Lim then served at MBS as the Associate Dean of the Chinese Department, taking charge of the graduate programmes. From 2003 till August 2009 he was the Dean of COCM Bible College in UK. He then returned to Malaysia in September 2009 and has been appointed the new principal of Malaysia Bible Seminary from January 2010 onwards.

Alliance Bible Seminary (Hong Kong) published his book (which is his Ph.D. dissertation) entitled “The Trials of the Christians as Resident Aliens and Visiting Strangers in 1 Peter” in 2005. He has also co-authored a commentary on 1 Peter with an Australian biblical scholar, which was published by Asia Theological Association in 2007.

Dr. Jason has traveled to many cities in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China  and Europe to share God’s message, holding special seminars or evangelistic meetings. He has composed many gospel songs and even produced four music albums (“Journey of the Heart” in 1999; “A New Day” in 2001; “Love Follows Forever” in 2003 and “The Way of the Cross” in 2006.
